“Winter Cabaret”, February 9, Corinth; February 10th, Haverhill

“Winter Cabaret”

Friday, February 9th, 7PM, Corinth Town Hall in Cookville, VT
Saturday, February 10th, 7PM, Alumni Hall in Haverhill, NH

Old Church Theater is presenting a “Winter Cabaret” to raise funds to restore Bradford’s
famous “old church”.  Admission at both events is by donation.

Miles Conklin of Haverhill is producing and emceeing the event, and has booked skits music, song, dance and more into each evening.  There will be refreshments, a 50-50 raffle and opportunity to purchase season tickets to Old Church Theater’s 2018 season, which opens June 1st at its temporary theater just past FarmWay in Bradford at 176 Waits River Road.

The proceeds from “Winter Cabaret” will be used to restore Old Church Theater’s home stage at 137 North Main Street- the 225 year-old “old church”- with the eventual goal of making the building usable year-round as a performing arts center.  The most pressing need is a new foundation to deal with troublesome drainage issues, followed by the installation of
new seating, heating, restrooms, an enlarged lobby, and to solve accessibility issues posed by the imposing flight of stairs into the building. The group hopes to complete most of the restoration by 2021, through donations, gifts and grants.
