Continuing Painting: Focus on Color

 at Artistree 
Class runs Tuesday, February 26 – Tuesday, April 2, 6:30-9pm

This  mixed-level class will explore the fundamentals of color perception, color harmonies, and more.

Although folks who have painted before are encouraged to take this class, we can accommodate students at any level (including beginners).

We will explore the fundamentals of color perception, color harmonies, the ways artists (both past and present) have used color expressively, and the ways in which you can use color to express your own vision/ style. Whether you have had only a bit of painting experience or are a very advanced painter, you are welcome to this class where instruction will accommodate each student’s focus/interests, experience, and skill level. Students are invited to use acrylic or oil (or water-based oil) paint. Class discussion will help students learn to examine their own work with an eye toward growth.

Daniel Gottesman, instructor, taught for many years at California College of the Arts and created their Color Theory courses for painters.
