Vermont’s premier professional chorus, COUNTERPOINT VOCAL ENSEMBLE, and our local ADVENTURE KIDS CHOIR perform Counterpoint’s “Six Degrees” multimedia program in Fairlee Town Hall Auditorium, Thursday May 23 at 7:00. With music, video, and narration the program is a powerful tribute to our beautiful, bountiful Mother Earth and a lament for the threats she is facing from climate change. The title refers to the rise in world temperatures of six degrees Celsius that would imperil life on the planet, and also to the“six degrees of separation” that connect all of humanity. Because all six inhabited continents are affected by climate change, the concert includes songs from across the globe and concludes with a joyous celebration of nature in balance.

Produced with support from Catamount Solar (www.catamountsolar,com), there will be information in the hall on some steps we can take to help restore that balance. Tickets $20 adult, $10 students. See http://www.fairleearts.org for information and reservations. Tickets may also be available at the door.
