Barn Quilts Lecture/Slide Show in Lebanon

at the Methodist Church, School Street just off Colburn Park.

The Northern Lights Quilt Guild is proud to offer Barn Quilts presented by
Suzi Parron author of “Barn Quilts And The American Quilt Trail Movement” and “Following The Barn Quilt Trail.”

She travels full time by RV, speaking to quilt guilds, libraries, civic organizations –whoever would like to hear more about barn quilts! Her talk will take you on a journey along the quilt trail, beginning with the very first barn quilt, which stemmed from Donna Sue Groves and her wish to honor her mother’s quilting art. The presentation features over one hundred stunning photographs of barn quilts, some of which rival cloth quilts in their intricacy. You will hear stories of some of the individuals who have painted quilt blocks to honor loved ones or their local culture, along with a few humorous anecdotes.

The lecture/slide show is free and will be held at the Methodist Church, 18
School St, Lebanon, NH at 6:30 pm on Friday, August 17, 2018.
