Mehrbach will give an artist talk on Thursday, May 16th at 5:30pm.

The artist talk and opening reception are free and open to the public.

Carl Mehrbach began his college education as a scientist at the University of Notre Dame. He later dropped out of a PhD program in oceanography at Oregon State University to pursue painting. Mehrbach moved to New York City to study at Art Students League of New York with Bruce Dorfman. After apprenticing for four years with painter Seymour Leichman, Mehrbach studied with Philip Guston at Boston University, where he received his MFA in painting.

Mehrbach’s paintings have been exhibited widely throughout New England as well as in New York, New Jersey, and California. He has had solo exhibitions at the Aidron Duckworth Art Museum in Meriden, NH; One Brooklyn Bridge Park Gallery in New York, NY; and an upcoming solo exhibition at Bromfield Gallery in Boston, MA which will be on view from June 5 – 30, 2019.
