GALLERY IN THE GARDEN: Silent Auction of Morrill Minis & Art Show Reception

Morrill Homestead’s annual Gallery in the Garden art show, Nature vs Culture, and silent auction of mini 4×4-in. paintings, features works created in an array of styles by many fine artists. Artists present their unique perspectives on the complex relationship between nature and culture, in ways that are moving, playful, profound and inspiring.
4:00 pm: “Gothic Revival Vision of Justin Morrill.” Self-guided exhibit about Strafford’s famous “pink house”
5:00pm: Reception for the art show opening of “Nature vs Culture.” 5:30pm: Wine and hors d’oeuvres accompanied by the ethereal music of Sam Moffatt on hammered dulcimer.
5:30pm: Silent auction of “Minis for Morrill” begins—Magnificent 4×4-in. paintings by artists of regional and national reputation. The 2018 silent auction will include works by these artists, and more: Gerry Bergstein (feature artist), Gail Boyajian (feature artist), Jennifer Brown, Brown, Lucas Chute, Noah Chute, Dierdre Dennis, Kate Emlen, Tracy Gillespie, Susan Hodges, Lisa Kippen, Ed Koren, Jo Levasseur, Gregory Maguire, David Macaulay, Marianne McCann, Rae Newell, Andy Newman, Anita Onofrio, Jacqueline C.
