Views, Hues and Musical Cues – Painting Class

Mount Ascutney and the Connecticut River will be your backdrop and musical theater your accompaniment as you paint en plein air. This unique opportunity offered by AVA Gallery and Art Center and Opera North pairs accomplished artists Jennifer Brown and Meg McLean for 3 days of painting instruction and guidance in watercolor and/or oils. Instruction will be for landscape painting specifically, from sketch to finished work.  While you explore the wonderful views throughout Blow-Me-Down Farm (across from Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site), musicians will rehearse “Singers and Swingers,” an immersive experience highlighting circus artists and live music from the Broadway stage to the opera house. Together, musical and visual artists will work towards opening night, Friday, July 13, where paintings will be on display (and for sale if you wish) throughout the weekend performances. Participants will each receive a free ticket to one of the performances! Materials lists provided   $160 members, $190 non-members
