Two Shows Opening, Sunday, June 22, 3-6PM, Aidron Duckworth Museum, Meriden
Please join us Saturday, June 22, 3pm-6pm for the opening reception of two groups of works on the grounds of the museum.
The first of these is the piece TACTICS / BEING CLOSE a site-specific, interactive sculptural collaboration by Lucy Pullen and Tom Butter. This work is the first collaboration between Pullen and Butter and is a kinetic sculpture located on the grounds of the museum and operated by a mechanism controlled by a viewer.
Also opening is TREE and VESSEL by Kyle Morrison.
In this exhibit Morrison presents works exploring the relationship of traditional Bonsai practice, contemporary ceramics, and the natural world. Morrison grew up in Norwich, Vermont spending his formative years in the forests of the Green Mountains.
TACTICS / BEING CLOSE and TREE and VESSEL will run June 22 – September 8. There will be artist talks at the opening June 22, 4pm and 5pm for each body of work.
