The next film-plus-artist is Torrey Pines, an award-winning, autobiographical feature film by transgender stop-motion animator and musician Clyde Petersen. Peterson’s animation is done with cut paper – a seemingly “anyone-can-do-it” method that Peterson elevates to tour-de-force levels. The film is a queer punk coming-of-age tale, taking place in Southern California in the early 1990s, with a fabulous soundtrack a hypnotic soundtrack by Death Cab for Cutie’s Chris Walla. Peterson will be there in person!
