Special Memorial Exhibition: Sayonara Aya Itagaki
Opening on Aug. 2nd, 2014 will be a special Memorial Exhibition, Sayonara Aya Itagaki, “Do Something to do nothing. The first step to the Octogenarian”– A Mixed Media show of her work spanning several years. It will be held in Gallery II of the Aidron Duckworth Art Museum, from 3 to 6pm, with a talk beginning at 4pm. The exhibition runs through Sept. 14th.
Aya Itagaki died unexpectedly in January of this year. She had planned this exhibition as a celebration of her 80th birthday. With the aid of her family and friends, the Museum is honored to present her planned exhibition.
Also opening in Gallery I on Aug. 2nd is Exhibition XXIV – Self-Portraits, Selections through Aidron Duckworth’s lifetime. This exhibit will remain through Nov. 2nd.
A topic designated by the Museum’s new Trustees, Self-Portraits were about the discipline of drawing and the explorations that Aidron Duckworth made throughout his lifetime.
