Auditions Coming Up!

The Parish Players Audition Notice for two one-act plays by Harold Pinter:
“The Room” and “A Slight Ache”
Director:  Ray Chapin

Auditions held at the Eclipse Grange Theater, Thetford Hill, Vt
February 6 and 7 – 7:00 p.m.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the two scripts.

The Room
Rose and Bert rent a room in a large house in an urban setting in the 1950’s. The outside is terrifying and unknown; Rose never goes out, and Bert only goes to drive his van with furious aggression. A young couple call, and then a blind man, and when Bert comes home, things come to a startling conclusion.  Roles for 4 men and 2 women, ages 20s—70s.

A Slight Ache
Flora and Edward sit at the breakfast table chatting of flowers and wasps and of the slight ache Edward feels in his eyes. Their conversation then shifts to the mysterious matchseller who has been standing by their backgate for many weeks.  Flora eventually  invites the matchseller inside with another surprising result.  Roles for 2 men and 1 woman, middle aged.

Audition Dates & Location:

Auditions will be held at the Eclipse Grange Theatre, 197 Academy Rd., Thetford, Vt. at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 6 and at 7:00 p.m.on February 7.
NOTE: Auditions will consist of cold readings from the two scripts.

Performances Dates:
Thursday – Saturday, April 30–May 2 & May 7–9 at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday Matinées May 3 & 9 at 3 p.m.
