Explore your life force through art making! Cultivate the tools to open and direct the flow of your Qi or Prana through meditation, movement and mark making. Painting is approached as an opening to one’s embodied presence. The self becomes the subject to be explored in a sequence of layers in ink. Please wear comfortable clothes to allow your energy to flow from its source and follow its path.

Exploring Abstract Painting with Watercolor
Abstract art explores the relationship of form, color, and composition without recognizable images. This fact allows viewers more latitude for personal interpretation. Painting this way encourages an expressive freedom that is not always allowed when painting representational imagery. Use watercolor techniques to learn the essential concepts of successful abstract painting. Methods and techniques will be demonstrated and applied to this style of painting. Some watercolor experience suggested.

Step By Step – An Approach to Watercolor Painting
Paint one landscape and use one basic technique during each class while being introduced to the basics of color, composition and brushwork. Demonstrations of technique, insightful critiques, and much individual attention can be anticipated. Beginners to advanced students are welcome.
