Will your Memorial Day celebration involve singing and glow sticks?
Join this family-inclusive concert with chorus, ukelele, drums, flute, electric bass & keyboard. Paintings and photographs by local artists will highlight the diverse songs, which take you on a stroll through a garden. From a Hawaiian song about tending the earth, to the gospel favorite, “The Storm is Passing Over,” there are pieces of beauty and silliness, warmth and quirkiness: a samba, a 70s pop hit, a modern setting of an e.e. cummings poem by a Julliard professor, a 16th century demand for forgiveness, Bobby McFerrin’s jazzy piece about the garden of Eden… and a special guest spot by Upper Valley choral group, Full Circle!
Now that the event is at the Lebanon Opera House, there’s space for you and all your sidekicks — let’s enjoy ourselves together!
