AVA Gallery and Art Center Receives $10,000 Operating Grant

AVA Gallery and Art Center Receives a $10,000 Operating Grant from

The Lane and Elizabeth C. Dwinell Charitable Trust

AVA Gallery and Art Center (AVA/Alliance for the Visual Arts), located at 11 Bank Street in Lebanon, NH, is pleased to announce the receipt of a $10,000 grant from The Lane and Elizabeth C. Dwinell Charitable Trust, Bank of America, N.A., Trustee.

This generous grant, awarded to support the general operations of the organization, comes at a particularly meaningful time, when significant efforts made to maintain all of AVA’s programs go hand-in-hand with endeavors to reach the goal of a $3.5 million Branching Out, Deepening Roots capital campaign. It is a well-known fact that contributions for general support can be more difficult to obtain during a capital campaign phase. This grant provides important unrestricted support to the organization’s programs and operations, enabling the inclusive, free or low-cost programming for which AVA is known to continue without interruption throughout the capital campaign period.

The late Honorable Lane Dwinell, former Governor of New Hampshire, and his wife, Elizabeth Cushman, lived in Lebanon for more than 60 years. Over the course of their lifetime, they were deeply involved in civic and charitable endeavors in Lebanon as well as in other parts of the state.  They created the Lane and Elizabeth C. Dwinell Charitable Trust to ensure the continuation of their philanthropic interests. The mission of The Lane and Elizabeth C. Dwinell Charitable Trust is to strengthen the community and support positive social change in the State of New Hampshire.
