Join us for an evening of music celebrating women during Women’s History Month. You will recognize and enjoy Jenni & The Junketeers renditions of tunes performed by Billie Holiday, Lena Horn, Roberta Flack, Bonnie Raitt, Ruth Brown, Patsy Cline, Nora Jones and others.

An exhibit of works by local artists interpreting and inspired by the theme: MUD. ArtisTree Gallery invites you to join us for a celebration of our most cautiously optimistic season. Area artists will exhibit a variety of works – some anticipating the warmth and color to come; others reflecting on the familiar, spare landscape of recent memory; but especially those works in the here and now – and the…MUD.

Matthew Odell plays Prokofiev’s War Sonatas, 4pm. $10.

Prokofiev’s piano music is some of the most powerful music of the 20th century. His 6th, 7th and 8th sonatas were written during World War II and serve as profound protests to the horrors or war and a dictatorial regime. A performance of all three sonatas is a rare occurrence and a unique look at music in the time of war.

Ceramics Workshop: Hand Building Vases, 1-4pm. $100.

If April showers bring May flowers, let’s display them in something beautiful! Starting with simple one-slab forms, we’ll explore patterns, seaming, and darting to create more complex forms, including multi-chamber vases like flower bricks and tulipieres. The second class will be for glazing. No previous clay experience required.
