Mila Pinigin Directs the Aidron Duckworth Art Museum with New Outreach and an Eye for Visual Art
Mila, the museum’s ED, wants to change the perception of the museum from elitist to welcoming. To achieve her goal, she now offers visual art exhibitions (inside and outside) and workshops that provide the community with creative opportunities not usually available in the Upper Valley.
In the museum’s main galleries, Duckworth’s drawings and paintings are the centerpiece, but Mila also shows noteworthy artists in the gallery spaces and has specific locations for sculpture in their gardens.
A new direction beyond the exhibitions and workshops, Mila has orchestrated the Asbury Short Film Concert, an evening of the world’s best short films (3-5 minutes) to be held in the Flickinger Auditorium at Kimball Union Academy. The date is June 22, 2017 and the begins at 7:00pm.
